Privacy notice
Last updated October 25, 2026
Carolina Kitchen Exhaust (a working name) coordinates service requests from commercial kitchens in the Sanford and Lee County, North Carolina area and shares them, with permission, with independent kitchen exhaust-cleaning providers who perform the work. This notice explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Contact and business details you enter: business name, city or ZIP, contact name, and an email address and/or phone number.
- Project details you choose to add: number of hood systems, desired timing, preferred service window, a description, and up to five photos.
- Your consent record: the consent statement you agreed to and when.
- Visit context: the page you submitted from, the page you first landed on, the referring site, and campaign tags (UTM parameters) if present. We strip other query parameters.
- Abuse prevention: a one-way hash of your network address, used to limit repeated submissions. We don’t store the address itself.
How we use it
- To review your request and look for an independent provider serving your location.
- To contact you about this request.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and campaigns lead to requests.
We share your request only to arrange the service you asked about, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Sharing with a provider
When you check the consent box, you allow us to share your request and contact details with an independent kitchen exhaust-cleaning provider so they can respond about this service. Providers are separate businesses with their own privacy practices. We share only what’s needed for them to respond to your request.
We may also use service providers that host this website and store data on our behalf. They process it only to provide that service.
Photos
Photos you upload are stored in private storage. They are not publicly accessible; only the site owner can view them through a signed-in, access-controlled tool, using short-lived links.
Analytics
The site is built to record two coarse events — that a request form was started and that a request was submitted — without names, contact details, descriptions or photos. No third-party analytics service is connected at this time. If one is added, this notice will be updated first, and any consent required for it will be requested before it runs.
Retention
Retention periods are still being set by the site owner. Until then, requests are kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request and keep basic business records, and test or abusive submissions are deleted.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your request, or to stop sharing it. A dedicated privacy contact address will be published here before launch. Until then, reply to whoever contacts you about your request.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, validated on our server, and stored with access restricted to the site owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can see it.
Changes
We’ll update this page and its date if our practices change.
